There are 6 special jumping techniques used in motocross racing besides the basic techniques. The 6 special techniques are; 1.Launch it. L = aunch 2.Absorb on the throttle T = hrottle 3.Absorb on the decelD = ecel 4.Set BounceS = eat 5.WhipW = hip 6.ScrubS = crub # 1 Launch it means – to get more height and distance. # 2 Absorb on the throttle means – to absorb the jump in order to stay low but still get good distance. # 3 Absorb on the decel – means to absorb the jump as you are slowing down in order to stay lower and get back on the ground fast. # 4 Seat bounce means – to jump as you are sitting on the bike. # 5 Whip means – to throw the bike sideways off the jump. # 6 Scrub means – to slide the front wheel off the top of the jump. Many beginner riders think they know the basics but I find through my schools that they dont know them well enough to understand and practice them correctly. This DVD delivers the important inside details so you can master jumping quickly and safely. It also goes on to include one of the 6 special jumping techniques (Launching). This part of the DVD will show you exactly how to get more height and distance out of a jump in order to clear the landing. This is most helpful when you have a jump right out of a corner or any time you need more height and distance. This DVD also shows and explains in detail how to stop getting sideways off jumps by accident. The other 5 MX jumping techniques will be coming soon. Check it out. You Will Become a …
the problem with me is that every time i hit a jump my feet fly of the pegs i try to grasp the bike with my knees but i slip right of, im a 130 pounds and im 6’1 and i ride a yz250 what im i doing wrong?,,,,, ive been riding for about 3 months and that is my first bike
yea i know, but how big of a difference does that make?
In the past I’ve had a lot of problems controlling my bike during jumping, I don’t know if it makes a difference but I only weigh about 130lbs, so the bike is a lot heavier than me. This doesn’t happen all the time, but I also don’t do big jumps, at least not often… I’ve had experiences in the past where my front end has come way high and vice versa with the endo problem… I’ve broken bones because of these mistakes. How can I practice technique without being too risky?
Do i give the bike gas going off the jump??
yes, if u let off the throttle just before u leave the ground your bike nosedives, i learned that after i nosedived.
I need some tips on getting my 9 year old to jump right. He does everything on the attack position(elbows out, head over the handle bar) front end going down too fast and hes still a little scared. What can I do .
@xSLAYtheWEAKx pull the clutch and stomp the back brakes, that brings the front down, gas it hard, that brings the front up (Y)

What would you suggest Semics5
Gary, Im hoping to come train with you this summer in Ohio, Is a 2002 KDX 200 an appropriate bike to use? I just wanna add as a sidenote, ive watched your videos and that alone has improved my riding technique. Thank you for your great service.
I have a brand new kx250f. Whenever I jump my bike always does an endo right when I leave the jump. When approaching it, do I want to lean forward or stay neutral and do i keep and even throttle?

What kind of bike do you have?
how do you steer the bike in the air, is it like whipping or turning your handlebars or leaning?
6:04 that is the scariest stuff on a jump, seriously, I wanna just go FLAT OUT on the jumps, but Im so insecure of launching correct, I just cant push it…. but isnt the main key to be on the throttle and lean forward? even if the bike launching very high in the front, you still have the body OVER the bike to be able to take it down the correct landing? I have watched so many videos now, and the pros seems to launch full throttle and leaning alot forward….??? thanks
