How do you transfer an mp3 file from your hard drive to your Ipod?

Hello. I have a mp3 file downloaded to a location on my hard drive. I would like to get this mp3 on an Ipod. How do you do this? Thank you.

    You just need to import your song into iTunes library, then make a playlist with the songs, plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu “File -> Sync iPod”, the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.
