How to transfer mp3 files from hard disk to cd with the same file extension?

How to transfer mp3 files I downloaded from hard disk to cd with the same file extension? I notice when you burn mp3 files, they become cd audio with *.cda extension. I want mp3 to play in our cd-mp3 player.

If you are using Win XP or later, right click on the folder containing these files and select the option “Send to: CD Drive (the drive containing your writable CD)”.
Windows will first copy these files in a temporary directory and then prompt you that “Your Files are Ready to Write”
All file extensions will remain in their original form.
