well i am short and i am way faster then tall people. even though they have a great stride i just work harder and faster then most people. its weird ,lol

  2. arrowmanlc2 says:

people with short legs are gona be more explosive and quick, but if you have long legs more than likely you will be a distance runner because you can take long strides and just kinda jog and maintane a good speed

  3. whirlfury says:

does having muscles at the hand having 6 packs help to spring faster?

  4. comepost says:

When i sprint I lean a bit forward and take like half steps half leaps, Im going quite fast like that!

  5. 009reddevils says:

move ur arms faster it will give u slightly more speed

  6. tttjump says:

just moving your arms faster may not give you slightly more speed.
Move them faster when, how do you move them faster,

If not done correctly, you may increase turnover but sacrifice stride length. Which would make you slower.

  7. 009reddevils says:

it does work ,scientifically proven ,just try it

  8. Lisforluke says:

imagine you hav hammers in ur hands

I dont get how… sprinters.. runners and such do alot of running and pump there legs now and again but they still remain small ? as the uper body buffs up anyone know.. well. how or why this may happen?

unless your name is Usain Bolt :)

  11. murrayppp says:

That is true. To do it correctly swing from the shoulder keeping your elbows at a 90 degree angle. Once that begins to work, swing and keep them moving. Practise that and simply with taking 3 or 5 pound weights; and in 1 minute intervals swing your arms as if you are running. This will help you gain arm strength and form.
With the wieght bring you to your heels, it’s probably that you are beginning to “sit”, bringing your bottom closer to the ground.

its opposite for me im siignificantly taller than my friend and i sprint and he’s distance. for sprinting u want to take huge strides

  13. theginzamo says:

    you are very helpful, thanks

  14. theginzamo says:

when running, is it better to have palm open through the whole race (i’m talking about a 100 meter) or eventually get your hands to the point where they aren’t exactly tight fists but are relaxed.?

  15. nish019283 says:

    Bigger strides are better

  16. rehanb says:

they do, but only to a certain point, there is a misconception that muscle strength is related to its size (to a certain degree) but look at athletes and body builders and you’ll spot the difference

  17. AndyLauV says:

For me i put my right leg in front cause it helps me get a good start

  18. scoobysdeathwish756 says:

Don’t exactly want to have your hands flopping around, kind of tensed and straight out, but not fists.

  19. SuicidalxFail says:

    depends on the person

  20. LFCsteUK says:

cheers, i will try this in the parents race at my sons sports day later

  21. ROMPERSTOMPER21 says:

i was told that if i took bigger strides that id be alot faster!! but i dont know much about running technique. pretty set in my ways in the style that i run. iv got very quick legs but my stride seems to get shorter and shorter as my legs speed up!! any ideas of how to fix this lol

  22. saxonlolz says:

i just let them relax into a natural closed sort of position, but not so that you have to focus on closing them coz ur focusing on running

  23. tordack says:

    jump rope

  24. secondsunn4 says:

if i were to drill this, would i approach it with a certain reps/sets and distance or what?

  25. nikka6666 says:

Use your arms. Think more on getting arms to drive you forward, and your legs will follow..
